Taghmon/Camross GAA Club Notes, 16 July 2001
The intermediate team lost in the winners group of the intermediate championship to Monageer-Boolavogue on Sunday in St Patrick’s Park by 3-7 to 2-8. Taghmon-Camross had led 2-2 to 1-3 at half time and by as much as 6 points early in the second half. The team must take scores when the chances present themselves and defend better if it is to benefit from the second chance. Taghmon scores were by Jason McLoughlan (1-6, 3 frees), Jason Delaney (1-1), Dermot Breen (0-1).
The U-21’s progressed to the district final with a superb display against Rathgarogue-Cushinstown in which Jonathon Waters excelled.
The U-12 hurlers play Oylegate-Glenbrien in the final of the U-12 championship at 7:30 tomorrow (Thursday) in St Patrick’s Park, Enniscorthy. Please go and support the team who have done so well to qualify for the final.
