About The Band
Irish band "Jeneva" have enjoyed success since they first started this Doors
show "The back doors" The band, now in there twenties, have been playing together since their mid
teens, but it is "the back doors" that have provided a national platform for
these talented musicians. The all brother Doors "clone" band have played
venues in Ireland such as "The Olympia", "The Quays", "Dolans", "The Half Moon" and "The Mean Fiddler" to
name but a few.
"The back doors" are a quality show with an authentic Doors line-up,
Fender bass keys and Hammond Organ by Terry, Brian on guitar, Michael on
Drums, and John on Vocals and recital, this is as real as it gets.
"The back doors" have succeeded in attracting a broad range
of people across all ages and groups to their shows. "The
doors" mean as much to as many today as they did in the (19)'60. With a totally
authentic sound, and an uncanny accuracy in content, performance, energy and
passion to "The Doors" themselves, anyone who partakes of this spiritual ritual
of music, theatre and poetry will find themselves translocated it time and space
to a little club in LA called the Whisky A-Go-Go in 1967.
The band were
delighted to meet with Ray Manzarek while he was in Ireland performing at HQ
last year. They had a great talk with him in person, and got great enthusiasm
from him for what "The back doors" are doing with the door's music. His 'plug'
for the band on Gerry Ryan's radio show on 2FM was much appreciated...
"... go see "The back doors", check 'em out, they're a very
good band, they'll give you "The Doors" experience!..." Ray Manzarek.
