After downloading the zip file make sure you have a copy of Winzip if not you can download it from http://www.zdnet.com.  Once you have winzip installed double click the zip file called civ242.  when winzip starts up click the tab called actions then move down the menu and click select all.  You'll now see that all the files are highlighted, now click the extract button and you'll see another window pop up,  from here you can find the directory where civ 2 is installed.  It is usually in a directory called mps on (C:) drive so if you now click the plus sign next to (c:) to expand the tree you'll now see all the directories on your Hard drive, scroll down until you see a directory called mps then click the plus sign next to it and you'll see the civ 2 directory.  Just click it and then click the extract button to the right of the directory list.  It will then ask you if you want to overwrite certain files when it does simply click yes to all and the the installation will be complete.  If you have any problems feel free to contact me at dean_che@hotmail.com for more help.
