South Kerry Minor Football Championship Final Thursday 11th December 2004 V Dromid/Waterville (home)

St. Mary's 1-0 Dromid/Waterville 0-00

St. Mary's overcame a very hard task when they left it late to beat Dromid/Waterville on Saturday evening last in Con Keating Park. Referee Tommy Gilligan threw up the ball St. Mary's midfielder Rory Keating soloed up the field and hit the net from 10 yards to win the game for the home side. This was for the reason that the visitors failed turned up due to some unknown circumstances and St. Mary's easily moved forward to the South Kerry Minor Final where they will play St. Michaels/Foilmore in the final after they overcame a poor Skellig Rangers team in the first game in Cahersiveen. St. Mary's will now be aiming for 4 in a row South Kerry Championships both Minor and Senior. South Kerry Minor Football Championship Round 1 Thursday 23rd October 2004 V Sneem/Derrynane (home)

St. Mary's 7-09 Sneem/Derrynane 1-04

St. Mary's began their South Kerry Championship campaign with a magnificent result against a much poorer Sneem/Derrynane side lacking the capabilities to get past the Mary's defence. The game started off the better for the visitors when the Mary's goalie Shane Horgan was caught off guard but made up for this soon afterward with some great kick outs and some very good goal bound stops. St. Mary's Rory Keating then retaliated with 2 points before Conor Moran then scored 2-1 before Keating slotted two goals passed the Sneem/Derrynane goalie. Further goals were added in the first half by Cathal O'Connell, Danny Murphy while Keating pointed 3 times before the interval to leave the half time score St. Mary's 6-6 Sneem/Derrynane 1-3. The second half was lacking the main ingredient of the first half, scores. The visitors started off the better once again when McClure pointed a free but St. Mary's were to add two more scores before the end coming from Kerry Minor star Rory Keating, corner back Sean O'Brien and Vincent Moriarty. This final scores left the score at St. Mary's 7-9 Sneem/Derrynane 1-4. South Kerry Minor Football League Round 4 Thursday 22nd July 2004 V Waterville (away)

St. Mary's 1-08 Waterville 1-12

St. Mary's bowed out of the South Kerry Minor League in the early stages when they left it too late to try and catch a more powerful Waterville side. St. Mary's were on the backfoot from the beginning and still trailed at the break 1-5 to 0-3. St. Mary's scorers in the opening half were Cathal O'Connell, Richard Slattery and a free from Liam Sheehan. Waterville were on fire in the opening of the second half and kicked points from all angles which kept the Mary's at bay. St. Mary's finally woke up in the closing moments of the game with points from Conor Moran, Liam Sheehan, Cathal O'Connell and a brilliant goal from substitute Conor O'Sé. P.K's Special Summer Minor Club Football Championship Div 4 Rd 2 Friday 16th July 2004 V Beaufort (home)

St. Mary's 0-11 Beaufort 6-05

Despite scoring the same amount of scores as the opposition  St. Mary's were heavily defeated by a tough Division 1 Beafort outfit. St. Mary's trailed from the beginning when Beaufort bagged some early scores. St. Mary's battled on through the game very hard and were greatly helped by Kerry minor star Rory Keating who started at full forward but moved out to centre forward. Keating contributed 8 points from 11. St. Mary's were killed off by Beauforts ease to score goals. Other scorers from St. Mary's were Conor Moran, Cathal O'Connell and Shane Horgan. The fact that St. Mary's had not played 15 a side before this year they had to play some inexperienced players. South Kerry Minor Football League Round 3 Thursday 8th July 2004 V Valentia (home)

St. Mary's 3-10 Valentia 3-09

After a hard fought closely contested game of football in Con Keating Park on Thursday evening last St. Mary's clinched victory in the dying moments of the game to gain their second victory of the tournament. Valentia opened the first half much the brighter with scores from John Connor, Paul Connor and Alan Lyne and had a deserved 13 point lead at the interval. St. Mary's first half scores came from Conor Moran, Liam Sheehan and Danny Murphy. After the break St. Mary's woke up and realised that they needed to put in a big effort to win the game. They responded well to this as they through everything they had at the Valentia defence, this paid off with some delightful scores in front of the posts from Vincent Moriarty, Cathal O'Connell and Liam Sheehan. With the Mary's now in control they let the ball into full forward Conor Moran who scored two goals from close range. Towards the end of the game St. Mary's kicked points and held up the ball when needed to walk away victorious. South Kerry Minor Football League Round 2 Thursday 1st July 2004 V Sneem/D'nane (away)

St. Mary's 3-04 Sneem/Derrynane 0-12

St. Mary's received their first victory of their South Kerry League campaign when they overcame a tough Sneem/Derrynane opposition in Sneem on Thursday night last. St. Mary's got off to a great start when inside the first minute Richard Slattery goaled. At the half time break St. Mary's had a two point advantage thanks to points from Vincent Moriarty and a goal from midfielder Cathal O'Connell. In the second half tempers flared and Sneem/Derrynane got the better of the Mary's midway through the half as they notched up 6 more points. St. Mary's kept their never say die attitude till the very end and were kept in the game with some goal bound saves from Paul O'Donoghue and good displays from Sean O'Brien, Brian Curran, Vincent Moriarty and Conor Moran. This attitude paid off and with time up and two points down Conor Moran ran through the defence and buried the ball past the on rushing Sneem/Derrynane goalkeeper. This gave the Mary's a well deserved one point victory but will have a tougher game next week game against Valentia. South Kerry Minor Football League Round 1 Saturday 26th June 2004 V Renard (home)

St. Mary's 1-08 Renard 1-11

St. Mary's minors were narrowly defeated in their first South Kerry game of the year. Despite a very close encounter through out Renard, minus Kerry minor Killian Young, played the better football and overcame St. Mary's, minus Kerry minor Rory Keating. St. Mary's played good football in patchs of the game with good displays comming from the backs. But on the day Liam O'Sullivan and Stephen O'Sullivan proved to be the undoing of the Mary's. St. Mary's scores came from Liam Sheehan, Cathal O'Connell, Vincent Moriarty, Conor Moran and Christopher O'Leary. Co. League Div 4 Round 5 Friday 30th April 2004 V Sneem/Derrynane (home)

St. Mary's 6-09 Sneem/Derrynane 1-09

St. Mary's Minors completed their County League campaign with a compressive 6-9 to 1-9 victory over Sneem/Derrynane on Friday last. St. Mary's went in at half time leading by 4-6 to 0-6 with 3 goals from Rory Keating and a goal from Christopher Leary. St. Mary's points were added by Rory Keating. Paul O'Donoghue and Cathal O'Conell. St. Mary's continued to dominate proceedings in the second half with Rory Keating adding 2-3 to give him a grand total of 5-7 Other to shine  St. Mary's were Mark McGillicudy, Brian Curran, Micheal Pat O'Donoghue, Cathal O'Connell, Vincent Moriarty, Micheal O'Sé, Colm Cournane. Co. League Div 4 Round 4 Friday 23rd April 2004 V Firies (away)

Firies 2-09 St. Mary's 1-09

St. Mary's Minors were very unlucky not to come out of their game against Firies with something, but in the dying moments of the game Firies snatched a late goal to take the spoils. St. Mary's had a 2 point advantage at half time 1-6 to 1-4 thanks to a goal from Cathal O'Connell and points from Conor Moran, Rory Keating and Cathal O'Connell. The second half for the Mary's was a half to forget as not only were they outclassed but also the half was marred by injury a St. Mary's full forward Conor 'spud' Moran who was taken away to hospital. He was later realised and it was discovered that he had ligament damage and would hope to be fit for the South Kerry Championship. The final score in this trilling game was Firies 2-9 St. Mary's 1-9. St. Mary's were best served by Brian Curran, Liam Sheehan, Micheal Pat O'Donoghue, Cathal O'Connel, Rory Keating and Conor Moran. Co. League Div 4 Round 2 Friday 9th April 2004 V An Ghealtacht (Keel)

St. Mary's 3-09 An Ghealtacht 3-09

St. Mary's Minors got over last weeks defeat to Cordal with a draw with against An Ghealtacht played in a bitterly cold Keel. St. Mary's looked a lot better and had improved greatly. It could also have been a victory for the Mary's when at half time they led 2-5 to 0-4 but a brace of second half goal from Ghealtacht proved the turning point. As of last week Rory Keating was influence scoring 0-8 (0-7f) out of 3-9. After a fantastic display in the first half the Mary's were thrown a lifeline when Conor 'spud' Moran scored a punched goal towards the end of the second half. The other two goals came in the first half one from Conor 'spud' Moran and a fantastic midfield goal from Cathal O'Connell. Co. League Div 4 Round 1 Friday 2nd April 2004 V Cordal (away)

Cordal 4-04 St. Mary's 1-08

St. Mary's Minors fell at the first hurdle in the Co. League when they were beaten by a stronger Crodal team. Although the score line suggests a good victory for the home side it was a game of two halves as the Mary's were down by 4-2 to 0-4. The Mary's were led into the second half by the inspiriation of Rory Keating whether it was fielding footballs at midfield or kicking 8 point out of 1-08 he was magnificent. The turing point for the Mary's came in the second half when Danny Murphy intercepted a pass which led to a Christopher Leary goal. The Mary's showed their determination in their second half performance.
