We look after the John O’Callaghan Park and playground. This includes putting in seating, planting, picking up litter etc. Apply for funding from Cork county Council and organise fund-raising. Co-ordinate the Spring Clean-up of the Glanmire area. Help organise and co-ordinate the summer youth employment scheme. Provide a forum for resolving problems re planning and zoning in the area. Co-ordinate with local county council re indiscriminate dumping, burned-out cars and general maintenance such as pot holes dangerous tree etc.
Meet on the last Thursday of the month.

We do a weekly litter pick rotating from Brooklodge to Glanmire, to Riverstown, to Sallybrook. We plant flowers, shrubs and trees. We clean and paint railings, flower tubs, bridges, campaign for litter bins. We’ve entered Tidy Towns Notional Competition. Your ideas/help in keeping Glanmire a fantastic place to live will be much appreciated.
One meeting every second month.
