Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) has been introduced to Glanmire Parish. This is a rite whereby non-Christians and non-Catholics are prepared for the Sacraments and for full membership of the Catholic Church. We meet locally at 8pm on Monday nights - all those interested, are welcome along. Contact 086-1098089.

Gifts of the Parish

The parish of Glanmire is blessed with having so many parishioners each with their own very special gifts and talents willing to devote so much time and energy for the benefit of the parish: from cantors, organists, parish assembly delegates, finance committee members, ministers of the Word, Eucharist, Baptism, Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, alter servers, school board members, grotto committee, collectors and church cleaning and maintenance teams. We have the Young Peoples Mass Choir and the St. Joseph’s Choir, the ‘Do This in Memory of Me’ group for first communion children and many other groups. We previously had a group taking care of the church garden and a group producing the parish newsletter. The whole parish is very grateful to the past and present members of all of these groups for the enormous generosity of their time and gifts - working together with the priests of the parish, the sacristan and parish secretary doing Gods work in Glanmire.
