- The 'Rocky Road' - A short (1/2 hour) purpose-built walk along the Butlerstown river - between Brooklodge and The Hermitage.
- The John O'Callaghan Park in Riverstown - A short (15 minute) purpose-built park-walk along the Glashaboy river.
- Quiet rural/scenic walk up Brookhill past Ballyluachra graveyard from Brooklodge.
- Crawfords Woods above the Grotto in Glanmire Village - The only difficulty is getting into to it - there is a gate from Glanmire village - there is also a lane from behind New Inn school.
- Moanbaun woods in Watergrass Hill near 'Kart World' - to do the two loops would take 2 hours.
- The water-front walk on Little Island across from Punches - allow 1/2 hour to complete the circuit.
- The water-front walk along the Mahon peninsula - a purpose-built walk from Blackrock Castle to Rochestown - 2 hours over-and-back.
- The old railway-walk between Parc Ui Caoimh and the water-front at Mahon - 1 hour over-and-back.
- The purpose-built marsh-walk between the Sunset Ridge and Blarney - 3/4 hours over-back.
- The tarmac sea-cliff walk between Inch beach and Power head near Roches Point - 3/4 hour out-and-back.
- The walks in Currabinny woods near Crosshaven - 1 1/2 hours round trip - may need a guide.
