Gold Medal Helios II: The only Irish Winner in The European-wide competition for Excellence and Achievement under the theme ‘Economic Integration’ – Open Employment for our Personal Assistant service. 

FAS Community Initiative Award: Awarded the best in the Mid-West Region in the FAS Community Initiative Awards 1996. This award recognises and encourages community effort and local initiative in the community TSB/Examiner Munster Community Awards: Recipient of this award for October 1996.

National Rehabilitation Boards Positive to Disability Award: Holder of this award which recognises T.C.I.L.’s positive attitude to employing people with disabilities and assisting many others achieve their full potential.

1999 AIB Better Ireland Awards: This award is all the more special as the Adjudicators selected our project from over 2,000 entries received. Our achievement to date and on our ongoing efforts to making a Better Ireland.

Achievements

Representative of the European Disability Forum:  Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jim Casey, was nominated and elected to the Irish Council of People with Disabilities in 1996 and is now the Council’s  representative to the European Disability Forum.

Ministerial Appointment of our C.E.O. Jim Casey to the Board of the National Disability Authority.

Accessible Transport: T.C.I.L. is the first operator of a countywide service for physically disabled people in County Tipperary.

Personal Assistant Service, Leader Training Programme: Singularly the most important of all our achievements to date has been to enable physically disabled people throughout County Tipperary to achieve their full potential through the support of our Programmes
