IF THE REFERENCE NUMBER OF AN ACTUAL GRAVE AT THE MEMORIAL SITE IS KNOWN, IT IS SHOWN BELOW; BUT DUE TO THE CHAOS OF WAR, SOME MEN WERE BURIED ( SOMETIMES UNIDENTIFIED) ALONGSIDE COLLEAGUES OF THE SAME UNIT AND HAVE NO INDIVIDUAL GRAVE.

For example, the Merchant Navy Monument in the garden of Trinity Square, near The Tower of London, England, dedicated to such men as J. Carew of Cahir, Tipperary, has an inscription which simply reads:
