Maguire started her Taekwon Do career with the Republic of Ireland
Taekwon Do Association (RITA) almost 25 years ago under the watchful
eye of Mr Brendan O'Toole, now Master O'Toole. Due to injury,
marriage and family she had to take a break for a few years. After
her return to Taekwon-Do with the A.I.T.A she and her family trained
under Mr Derek Colman IV degree, International Instructor in Blakestown where she was promoted to Black belt 1st Degree, since
then she herself has brought 2 students to Black belt standard with
Mr Colman. She has since been promoted to 2nd Degree Black Belt.
Mr Colman is also the grading examiner for the Westmeath Schools.
Going from strength to strength she has trained students who have
taken 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies in the National A.I.T.A
Championships in 2002, which was hosted by the Westmeath schools,
she also has South Eastern Champions from the 2003 competition
hosted by the Gorey school. This year 2003 the Westmeath Schools
will host the National Championship's in the G.A.A Hall,
Castlepollard.
Mrs Maguire has just completed her third course in Tera-Mai Reiki
and is now a Reiki Master Teacher.
