Re-opened!
After a well earned rest, the Westmeath Schools of
Taekwon-Do are back up and running. Please check the
Schools page as many of the times have been slightly changed.
Teams have been selected for the upcoming Colour Belt Team Competition on
the 18th of September (see
Events
page for more information). All students who attended the special
classes were placed on teams and all competitors are looking forward to next
Saturday!
Closing

Successful Testing!
On the 30th of July, a small number of students from the
Westmeath Schools of Taekwon-Do tested under Mr. Wheatley, VI Degree,
International Instructor, all of whom passed. Congratulations to all!
The testing was followed by a class conducted by Mr. Wheatley, where he went
through fundamental movements and some releasing techniques.
Success
at the 2004 A.I.T.A National Championships!
Mrs. Gwen Maguire would like to congratulate all of her students who took
part in the 2004 A.I.T.A National Championships, which were held in Clare,
on the 4th of July. Just under 20 students took part in the
competition, and each one performed admirably. A good day was had by
all who attended and everybody is eagerly looking forward to the
competitions planned for later this year!
A Visit
from the A.I.T.A Chief Instructor!
On the 30th of June, Mr. Wheatley, VI Degree, visited the
Castlepollard School of Taekwon-Do where he instructed the sizeable crowd of
students who attended. He covered fundamentals movements, 3-step
sparring, stretching exercises and patterns. The class was enjoyed by
all who attended.

Site!
We are proud to unveil our new-look web site!
The site has really only changed design-wise, so regular visitors will be
familiar with the navigation system. Any comments or ideas can be sent

Two New Schools!!
Two new schools have been opened by the Westmeath
instructors, one in Rathowen and the other in Ballyjamesduff. For more
details visit the
Schools page.
Change
of Venue!
From the 10th of February onwards, the Mullingar school of
Taekwon-Do will no longer train at St. Brigid's School, and will commence
training at the Shamrock's G.A.A. Hall. If you need directions,
contact the instructor at
