Right, so you are going on a musical discovery odyssey with uncle Conor.
Blue Train is one of the classic jazz albums of all time, springing from the late fifties, and bringing all the cool of hard bop from that time along with it.
Blue train was the second jazz album I ever bought, and its hit was immediate. The moment Blue Train begins, you know you're on to something, the seductive beat of the opening title track sounding like the coolest night ever in the coolest smoke filled club you ever saw.

Jazz sadly veers into all kinds of territory a lot of the time from the squealing to the boring, putting off a lot of new listeners, but this entire album is a solid groove.
Trying to explain why Blue Train is good is like trying to explain why Coffee is good.
It just is.
This album makes you feel a part of it, and moves from melancholy to just god damn cool effortlessly and easily, making you feel cool just by association.
So go and try blue train.
Travors is going to give me a tough enough time as it is for reviewing an album over forty years old, so I need your
support. Buy Blue Train and mail Travors or me, and tell me how much you loved it.
In closing, I would like to apologise for how many times I used the word "Cool" in this review, all I can say is you will understand when you hear the album.
Coffee Factor:
Oh yeah.
Coffee + Blue Train = Fulfilment.
Chick dig it?
Ah. Yes indeedy.
The girl of your dreams will be impressed by your choice of album for the evening.
Trust me.
