Dear Friends,

Tubber is a rural area and like all rural areas in Ireland, the Church and the National School form the focal point of the community. As Principal of St Manchan's N.S., I consider myself very fortunate to be working within such a pleasant community and it is with great pleasure that I write this introduction.

A school is a bonding place, bonding us as a community to one another and to the generations that have gone before us. A school is more than just a building. It is a place where lifelong friendships start. Central to the school are generations of school children on their First Communion and Confirmation Day, on the school tour, at the school matches and the sports, and on all the special days that make it such a happy memory. Central too are the parents, the anciliary staff, the teachers and the priests. Since I came to teach in Tubber, I have been blessed with the comradeship of a loyal, dedicated, highly talented and thoroughly professional team. I refer not only to my colleagues in the school but also to the Parents' Councils and the Boards of Management. Together we are trying to prepare our pupils for life.

Guidhimis ar son na ndaltai, na tuismithitheoiri agus na n-oidi a mhuin sa scoil seo, go mormhor iad sinn ata imithe ar sli na firinne. Guidhimis rath De ar chuile duine ata pairteach in obair na scoile. Gura fada buan sibh!
