Waterford can take some pride from this performance, played in atrocious weather conditions the blues battled and scrapped and worked hard for the point but it could and probably should have been more. In the first have the Blues had the better of the exchanges and both Bradley and Moore came very close to giving Waterford the lead .Drogheda's best chances came from Brian Kelly and Derek Delaney. In the second half Gary Dempsey came close with a free kick on was deflected out for a corner. Any of the Blues fans that turned up for the match deserves great credit cause that was not a night for football. Drogheda United now remain the only unbeaten team in the first division.
