Changed the game when he came on

With a 7 point lead now built up at the top of the table, the Blues had a great chance to put 12 points between themselves and The Tribesmen who were in 3rd place.

The game stated with a lot of tension and both teams canceled each other out. In fairness to Jimmy this season when his team needs to battle and grind out a result they are never left wanting. This was another performance which needed determination and hard graft and this is exactly what the players gave the supporters on a wet night in the RSC. The goal that won the game came from super play from Darryl down the right and just when we thought he had run out of pitch he crossed in a superb ball which found Vinny at the back post and the Dungarvan man doesn't miss many chances. 11 goals to his credit at this stage of the season is a wonderful total and is the reason why the Blues have just about wrapped up the league title.

To be fair to Galway their was only a kick of the ball between the two teams, and they must have traveled home disappointed to leave suirside without a point. Jimmy got the tactics spot on and the decision to bring on Wayne Fitzgerald worked a treat, even though the player he replaced may have been the wrong choice, as Gus was playing pretty well. Galway were just not able to break us down with the defence now full of confidence again.

|Next week we travel to Newbridge to take on in form Kildare County. A win in Station Road, could see us win the league title in the RSC on December 29th when we entertain Monaghan United.
