Blues run in for the title |
|
If you could have picked a run in to win the league, you couldn't have done much better than this. The Blues are due to play Dundalk this Thursday night in Oriel Park and a win here could see us win the league, if Finn Harps fail to beat Kildare County on Wednesday night. Then on Tuesday night we must travel to Finn Park, and hopefully the game will be played this time. If the Blues fail to beat a poor Dundalk team who have lost a few players in recent days to Irish League clubs, they have Limerick at home on the Sunday 26th in the RSC to win the title and gain promotion to the Premier Division. It was a great pity Last Saurday that the match against Harps was called off due to a frozen pitch, not because we were in Ashbourne Co. Meath, but because I believe it was a great chance for the players to show why they were champions elect. Every player wants to play at the highest level and prove themselves and I think they could have shown this in Ballybofey, to show we are worthy champions.
