Paul Power installed as favourite for Cobh Ramblers job

It has come to my attention that previous Waterford United manager Paul Power is favourite to take over the manager position in St. Colman's Park next season. PP who walked out of the RSC in December 2001, has applied for the job with our Munster rivals. If PP gets the job I would certainly wish him all the best, but we would not see him in the RSC as we will be playing Premier football next season.

I think it is fair to say that the 4 recent signings by WUFC would not have been made by PP. He wanted a local set up and was not willing to go outside the South East. The main problem with this is that we had no one to score a goal, and had lost quality players Kirby, Reynolds, and Hunt during the summer as well as Robinson a year previous. If local players are not going to sign or stay with the Blues then we may never have a totally local set up. Anyway the Blues successful teams down the years all had players from outside this area.

The opportunity to work with Golden and Kabia are probably PP's main interest for wanting this big job.
