After
a meeting of the Board of Management of Waterford United PLC it
was decided that Brendan and Paul would be in charge for Sunday
big Local FAI Cup match in Kilkenny.
The
two players took charge last weekend for the important league
tie against Dublin City after Paul Powers resigned in midweek
and now the directors feel more time is needed to find PP's replacement.
This will be a welcomed decision by the players and fans who believe
that stability is needed within the camp at a vital stage of the
season.
After
last seasons good run in the FAI Cup, when we reached the semi-final,
it helped to boost players and fans confidence as we pushed for
promotion.
This
years newly named FAI Carlsberg Cup sees a lot of big clubs drawn
against each other which gives the Blues another great chance
of a good cup run. Avoiding the big guns is always a great help,
as you only have to win 4 matches to find yourself in the Final.
The Blues will bring a large crowd to Buckley Park and are expected
to take over the stand behind the town goal and cheer their team
to victory over the Cats.
