Training Report Tuesday 17th July

Tuesday night I attended training to see how our old and new players were shaping up under the guidance of fitness trainer Paddy Ryan. 27 players took part, 26 Blues and 1 from Longford Town (Guess who). Firstly a light warm up session took place, then 2, 6-aside matches with keepers (Anthony Fennelly, Paul Blinder and Gavin Morris) working separately. Then Paddy made them sweat in a very physical work out of long and short sprints. Most players look fit with sharpness needed to be worked on.

A few new faces were mixed among last years stars. Ian Barry previously with Sunderland, Michael Heffernan ex Villa, Noel Hunt ex Johnville, Colm Delahunty ex Hibs, Thomas Fitzgerald ex Carrick, David Walsh ex Kilkenny City, Francis Rockett ex Tramore and Paddy Dooley ex Southend. Those missing were Aaron Moroney and David Breen both injured.
