  Packie Bonner - Goalkeepers Coaching School
 
 


Irish legend Packie Bonner(pictured Left) ran a one day Goalkeepers Coaching Course in Waterford Crystal on the first weekend in November.

The day run as part of the FAI Coaching Courses, and all want to be Goalkeeping coaching were invited to attend with the cost a very reasonable £20.00 for an eight hour session.

Packie first took the 35 attendants into the Crystal function room to talk about coaching keepers and showed some video clips of himself.

An hour later and it was on the the pitch, where Bonner displayed basic goalkeeping tips for the beginner and advanced shot stoppers. Then in turn each participant got the chance to coach within small groups with help from Packie, Giles Cheevers and Darren Murray.

After Lunch more coaching tips and exercises were shown by Packie and an enjoyable day was finished off in the function Room, just to recap on the days events and Packie also answered a few questions about coaching and his career.
