Official Opening of United Park - July 29th, 2001

More than 500 people attended the official opening of our grounds on 29th July, 2001. The official opening was performed by Liam Aylward TD, and Milo Corcoran, President F.A.I.. The grounds were blessed by Very Rev Msgr. Paul Fitzgerald.

Soccer games for all age groups were played, as the club demonstrated just how many kids and adults are actively involved. The day culminated in a game between players from the 1970's and 1980's , and a keenly contested game between the current junior players.

The club wishes to thank all who contributed to the make the day the success it was, and to thank all those who attended to help us celebrate in style.
