This was the biggest day for the club for many years. Ballymun United came to town to meet Thomastown United in the semi-final final of the Leinster Junior Cup. We went 1-0 up, but Ballymun drew level in the second half. Extra time couldn't separate the teams, and Thomastown suffered heartbreak by losing the resultant penalty shootout.
