Ireland vs Brazil 2nd March 2010

Almost two years after providing ballkids for the Ireland v Brazil match in Croke Park, the FAI kindly offered the club the honour of providing an official ball carrier and four mascots for the friendly international between Ireland and Brazil at the Emirates Stadium in London on 2nd March 2010. Aine Lannon, James O'Hara, Cian Kelly, Kelvyn Skehan and Maeve Egan travelled with family members and club officials to the home of Arsenal FC in North London for this memorable occasion.

They were met by a member of staff at the Emirates Stadium an hour before kick-off. 45 minutes later and following a quick change into their match kits, they were brought to the tunnel where they were introduced to the Ireland management team. Then it was time to accompany the teams out on the pitch and stand for the national anthems. When their duties were complete, the kids watched the remainder of the game complements of the FAI.

Thanks to John Delaney and, in particular, Pat Costello of the FAI for their generosity and help, and hopefully the club will be considered again in the future.
