Be
conversant with key dates and bring them to members’ attention.
For
example:
- Schools’ entitlement to posts of responsibility
(appendix A, Circular Letter 2 1/98) should be confirmed with Management in
September.
- Applications for early retirement
under Strands 1 and 2 are invited in mid-December each year.
- Applications for career breaks must
be submitted in adequate time for sanction by a Board of Management/CEO by
31 st . March (this may mean submitting applications for a February Board
of Management Meeting).
- Meetings to elect School/Workplace
Committees and School Representatives should be convened in May
- TUI directives should be brought to
Management’s attention in May
- Normally teachers may not withdraw
from the job-sharing scheme after 15 th . June.
