SEA ANGLING 1997 (Downings)

Another beautiful day out sea angling from Downings on the Mari Patria. You'd almost think it was the South of France from the photo left.

During the 1997 Summer - Autumn season approximately 75-80 Blue shark were boated on the Mari Patria. Nearly all shark were returned alive after tagging. One shark was a specimen landed by master Gareth Miller and weighed 109.5 lbs.
In the Sheephaven Bay area there were 31 specimens in 5 varieties.
