SEA ANGLING 1998 (Downings)

The Home Internationals were held in Downings on 26^th to 28^th June 1998.
The photo shows some members of the Scottish team on the Mari Patria.
England won the competition with an overall score of 782.29 % points.

During the Summer - Autumn season a total of 65 Blue Shark were boated the majority of which released alive after tagging. One specimen of 113 lbs. caught by Norman Maddox on the 25^th of August fishing on the Mari Patria.
A total of 9 specimens in six varieties were caught in the Sheephaven bay by all the boats operating in the area.
