
Fergal Caulfield is the current Musical Director of Ulysses Chamber Choir. Fergal studied music at Trinity College Dublin, from which he graduated with BA and PhD degrees.
As a performer, Fergal studied piano with Peter Dains at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and studied organ with Professor Gerard Gillen at the Pro-Cathedral Dublin.
Fergal has performed extensively abroad, and has given solo organ recitals at most of the major concert venues in Ireland. As a chamber musician, Fergal plays piano with the Clarion Trio (consisting of piano, viola and clarinet). He works regularly as keyboard player with the RTE National Symphony and RTE Concert orchestras.
Fergal is repetiteur for the RTE Philharmonic Choir and has longstanding associations with Milltown Chamber Choir and Dun Laoghaire Choral Society.
Fergal has been Musical Director of Ulysses Chamber Choir since January 2011.
