Roast Onions

Taken from the Vegan Society's Recipes sheet no. 2.

Ingredients:-

1lb small onions ( pickling onions are ideal )

1tsp yeast extract

1tsp tarragon

Black pepper and salt ( optional )


Method:-

1.  Peel the onions.  Place in an ovenproof dish and add the oil, yeast extract, tarragon, pepper and salt to taste and just cover the onions with water.

2.  Place in the oven at the same time as the roast potatoes.   Check after half an hour and stir the onions to make sure they cook evenly.
