Sleibhte Ben Nevis

 

The 4 Irish Sleibhte’s were a huge success and all that’s left now is the Ben Nevis, (Scotland) Climb. The date may have to be changed from what was advertised on the calendar but it’s going ahead in the next month or so.So if you’ve completed 2 of the Irish Sleibhte’s satisfactorily, your leader will be receiving a invitation to “Sleibhte Ben Nevis” in the next couple of weeks. If not contact the team on Wednesday in HQ.

The Explorer belt is heading out this Friday the 15th to the Czech Republic. They’ve been training hard for the Expedition I know you all want to wish wish them the best of luck.

If you’d like to know how they’re getting on you should tune into The Gerry Ryan Show. Avril Hoare, who works on the show, will be phoning in 3 or 4 times from the Czech Republic with progress reports.

Avril is one of two journalists, the other being Martha Kerns from the Evening Hearld, who are being sponsored by finches to do the explorer belt, this year.

Liam Monaghan

Venturers from all over Ireland mourn the loss of Liam Monaghan from Irvinestown Ventures (6th Fermanagh) who died tragically last month in a motorcycle accident.
