Editorial …

Both of my readers may be sad (or glad) to know that this is probably my last outing as editor of this esteemed publication. I’m following in the footsteps of many of our patriots, and heading for that great penal colony down under. You never know, I may even write and let you know how my walkabout is going.

Brian Doyle volunteered to take over our web page while I’m away but the In-vent job is still open. Applicants should have a reasonable grasp of the alphabet and be able to find the power button on a Computer. Send CV’s to Personnel Department, In-Vent, Scouting Ireland CSI, 36 Dolpins Barn St., Dublin. Remuneration package: usual scouting rates apply.

This time of year most of you are probably about to embark on your summer expeditions. I’m sure you’ll all have the cráic, so why not send an article and pictures of your summer ex. to invent, there’s a tener going for the best article.

On the national Front, Cáirde last weekend went brilliantly, with the DLS Waterford Boys the overall winners. If anybody has any good pictures for the website sent them in (I’ve none). Also, Next Friday we’ll be saying “Dobrý Den!” to the Czech Republic as 75 of us head over there for this year Explorer Belt.

That’s all folks!, except to say, thanks to everybody who helped me in the last few months, (particularly Barry, Darragh and Darren my regular contributors).

Good Luck and Keep on venturing.

John Comey
