FOCUS
When you have completed the five modules for your Silver
or Gold challenge, you must do Focus.
This is done on a one-to-one basis with your leader,
following self-evaluation. The objective of FOCUS
is to honestly evaluate how you have done and what you
got out of the challenges you set yourself.
Take some time to think about the following issues:
- Given that the objectives of Rogha are for you to
develop new skills, make new friends, gain an appreciation
for the outdoors and adventure, contribute to society
and enjoy yourself; ask yourself, did you meet them?
- Have you done your best?
- Did you fulfill the criteria laid down in each
module? If not, were there valid reasons?
- Hindsight is a wonderful thing, so now that you
have completed your modules, what would you have done
differently or better? Would you take a different
approach next time? (if going on to do Gold Challenge).
- What are the most important things you have
learned by doing Rogha?
- Explain to your leader how you think you have
developed mentally, physically, socially,
spiritually and culturally?
- If this is your silver Rogha, how do you
think your experience will influence the choices you
make in tackling your Gold Challenge.
If this is your Gold Challenge, then consider
your future in Scouting by completing the Horizons
module and think about how you can get the most out
of your remaining time in Venturers.
