The Choice procedure, Véro's version
This procedure was designed by Dr Pat Carrington who is a renowned EFT Master. For more information on her and her other products, please visit Other links
I use this procedure in 90% of my work with my clients. However, I have added some variations to the original procedure (I have mainly added some tapping points which I find particularly efficient). This procedure has become one of the main components of HEHT.
A very effective shortcut version of the basic recipe which enables (some might say empower) the person using EFT to give a different and more positive outcome to an issue.
With this variation of EFT, the setup affirmation is of the following pattern:
"Even though I have this issue, I choose to something very positive."
One example could be: "Even though I am dreading meeting my son's teacher, I choose to remain calm and confident."
Note: "I choose to remain calm and confident" is the standard choice in this procedure and it "fits" with every problem/issue; the same way that "I truly and deeply love and accept myself" can be used for any problem/issue when using the basic EFT recipe. As with the original EFT recipe, you can adapt the text so that it fits your circumstances.
However, take care to only use positive terms when formulating your choice and avoid all negative words/phrases. For instance, avoid "I choose not to". On the other hand, it is highly recommended to use adjectives and superlatives such as: super, fantastic, magnificient, fabulous, etc. so that to put extra emphasis on the positive aspect of your choice.
Procedure
Start
with evaluating your issue by giving it a note on a scale of 0 to 10 (0
being no problem whatsoever, and 10 being the problem at its
worse).
After repeating 3 times out loud the affirmation (as described above) while tapping on the karate chop point, you then proceed as follows:
So with our example, you would get something like:
