Surrogate tapping relieves Leana of her hay fever & prevents a headache due to the smell of incense
Recently, I was at a body, mind & spirit fairs. I was talking to one of my colleagues while we were setting up our stalls, before the start of the fair. She was complaining that she had had hay fever for a whole week and could not get rid of it. Also, she told me she could feel a headache coming on because of the smell of incense that was flooding the place. Usually, the smell is not so much of a problem, but when you have to smell it for a whole day (as we often do at fairs), it can indeed be an issue. And many of the participants finish at the end of the day with a terrible headache.
The fair is not the best environment for a tapping session, mainly because of the lack of privacy and the constant buzz and distractions. So I ask Leana if it was ok for me to do some surrogate tapping for her. And she said that was fine by her and to go ahead with it.
So I tapped on the following:
"Even though I have this terrible hay fever that I cannot get rid of, I truly and deeply love and accept myself"
"Even though I have this terrible hay fever that I cannot get rid of, and I keep sneezing and having to blow my nose, I choose to relax and let it be easy to breathe in and out freely."
"Even though all my sinuses are blocked up with hay fever, I choose to relax and let it be easy and fun to breathe in and out freely."
"Even though, the smell of the incense is starting to give me a headache, I truly and deeply love and accept all parts of myself."
"Even though the smell of incense always give me a headache, and I cannot stand it, I choose to relax and be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to breathe in that smell."
"Even though I hate the smell of incense as it always gives me a headache and I can feel one coming up already, I choose to relax and let it be easy to breathe in and out freely, and to completely forget about the smell altogether."
I did one round of tapping (my Choice Procedure) on each of the above affirmations. As I was imagining the tapping, even Leana did not noticed I was doing the tapping and carried on with getting her stall ready.
I did not get a chance to talk to Leana right after the tapping. It is only half way through the day that I was able to check up on her. She said that her headache had gone and she did not feel any coming up. Then she asked me if the incense was still on as she could not really smell it anymore....
At the end of the day, she said the headache never came back and she had a great day without sniffing and blocked nose. And she never thought twice about the incense again.
I saw Leana one week later at another fair and she told me: "I realized yesterday that I have not had hay fever all week, and I am just after testing by going by the stall where the incense sticks are burning and the smell does not bother me in the slightness anymore. This is amazing!"
