The V.S.O.G. is the Irish Group for Variable Star Observers. It was founded in 1975 to promote, associate and assist Variable Star Observers and Observing in Ireland. The first Director was James Kelly. Originally emphasis was placed mostly on the Semi-Regular Variables. Rho Cas, T Cep, RY Dra, Z UMa were among the programme stars.
