John Walsh
was born and reared in Naas, County Kildare, the headquarters of the racing and breeding
industry in Ireland. Graduated from the Newmarket School of Stud Management
having spent two years studying at Derisley Wood Stud, Meddler Stud and English National
Stud.
After graduating from the Irish National Stud
Management Course under the direction of Michael Osborne he travelled extensively to
the breeding centres in USA, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
John Walsh has also bred the Stakes winners Favourite
Prince (Champion 3 year old colt in Germany), Mistrals Collette
(2nd top rated 3 and 4 year old filly in Italy), Brown Ale (Champion at 2
and 3 in Norway), Down Raid (Champion at 2 in Norway), as well as Cape
Grace, Argyle Cavalier (9 wins), Well Appointed (Stakes placed), Suez Tornado, Prospectus,
Morgannwg, Belleminette, Roman Gold, Jim's Wish, Olivadi, Saffron Lane.
