Waterford Road Runners
Sunday April 6th, Dungarvan 10K, Michael Roche Carpet Spring Series:
There were 131 finishers today in Dungarvan, many of which were Waterford Road Runners and many of these took home prizes! Both Bernie and Siobhan picked up first prize in their categories (we won't mention their age categories of course) and Adele got third place in the Senior Ladies. Larry Kennedy won the Spring Series outright, with Mark Langford a close relative, I mean second! Corina Walsh of West Waterford won the Ladies Series with Adele hot on her tails (she wrote optimistically!).
Aaron Colbert, Brendan Aspel, Pat Giles, Paul Mooney, Kathleen Moran, Maura O' Doherty, Declan Harte, Ann Matthews, Bernie Laherty, Helena Dunphy and Eileen 'Can I bring my dog?' Winters also had terrific runs with many new PBs. 
The Lady Road Runners will get another shot at their West Waterford opposites on April 20th, Easter Sunday, at the RSC as the first Waterford Women's Mini Marathon take place. The Run takes place over a 5 mile route and is ideal preparation for any of the girls (or PJs with wigs) that fancy taking part in the Evening Herald Women's Mini Marathon in Dublin on the Bank Holiday Monday in June. Entry forms for the Waterford event are in most of the local papers, but you can also register on the day. YOu must however have you entry form for Dublin in before the end of April. These forms are printed in Thursday and Saturday's Evening Herald. The Thursday edition always has lots of helpful information for those first timers.
