Road Runners
Winter League Week 11, Wednesday January 28th A freezing night the definitely put the skids under some of our runners. A new course record was produced courtesy of Mark Langford, running over 2minutes faster on the night than he did on the same night last year. I do hope he's not taking any of those 'supplements' that our Sports Council so despise! Lots of others had pbs also on the night, including husband and wife Cathal and Brenda Lowe. One wonders how they both manage to get so much fitter each week?! With only 5 weeks left to go, be sure to come along every week, especially if you've 5 or more races done. On our last night, March 3rd, we'll have another huge prize giving night and all those that have completed 10 races will be given T-shirts, not to mention tons of other prizes for everyone, including a pair of Asics runners for the male and female winners of each route.
