Road Runners
Winter League Week 6, Wednesday December 10th
Only the slightest
bit of rain tonight for our determined runners, of which there were 87,
not bad considering the rest of them must be all out buying turkeys
(fresh ones most likely Bobby) and presents before Santa comes. Hope
lots of new running gear is on plenty of those wish lists?
Apologies to Alan for not having the results up on Thursday night, was a bit
pushed for time fitting in a quick (timewise, not speedwise
unfortunately!) run before hitting the town for the first of the
Christmas Bashes!
We had some fantastic times on the night, with Gavin Kennedy producing
this year's fastest result, finishing in 26.xx, very closely followed my
Mark Langford in a new course pb of 26.39 and good ol' Dad Larry. Must
be something in the water where all those Kennedy's are from?!
Wednesday night also saw the return of one of our Road Runner's
favorites, James Sullivan Snr, great to have you back James.
Apologies, won't go into too much more detail now, work calls! Check out
next week's News and Star for more details of the night!
I do have time to post the results though of course!
Don't forget next week is our Turkey Trot, the run will not be timed and
everyone is encouraged to wear a Santa hat or something festive, besides
Red thongs! After the run, around 9pm, we'll be holding our second
annual Christmas party in Alfies on Lombard Street, many thanks to
Darryl in advance of a great night!
Also next week, arrive early for the run and benefit from a free pre or
post sports massage from one of three Sports Massage/Neuromuscular
therapists.
See you Wednesday December 17th for our Christmas 'Turkey Trot' and party
after!
