Winter League Week 3, Wednesday November 24th
Records numbers again, 158! 3
Mile Entries all the way from Boston 5 Miles Group 1 Something must have been slowing the first three finishers of the 5 mile route on previous runs because all three knocked around 4minutes off last week’s times. Eric O’Sullivan showing a return to form was first home, closely tracked by John Kiely and marathoner Alan Whelan. Only 2 of Alan’s runs last year were faster so we look forward to watching him progress. Fastest man on the night was again Mark Langford, in 26.42, but with John Dalton improving week after week, who knows what might happen before next February? At last a change occurred in the ladies finishers, Ruth Ahern broke into the top 3 to finish first. Only 7s behind Ruth was fastest lady on the night. Marina Power. Collette Holland was third of the ladies home, just beating last week’s time by 4s! Well done girls!
