awareness of Wilson's Disease
generally and within the medical profession. Early diagnosis is crucial
in preventing irreversible damage to liver and brain, particularly. It
is a rare disease that is observed with a prevalence of 1: 30,000
to 1 : 100,000 worldwide. Therefore, it is imperative that it is
treated by a Consultant led team with experience
of managing Wilson's Disease.
