Title: Dinosaurs
Genre 3 Demsional animated, historic, children
Certificate: Universal
Running Time: 83 minutes

Disney has created a film that took 4 years to make, 3.2 million processing hours, over 70,000 CD-roms worth of information with a hundred metres of individual files, that means over 45 terrabytes (45,000 gigabytes) of data was used for the film . I guess only people with great computer knowledge knew what that meant. Yet the question is, was it worth it? If Disney wanted to show off their talent, maybe, but for the sake of making a proper film to remember, not worth it.

This film is set 65 million years ago and its about a kind hearted Iguanodon called Aladar who was raised by a group of lemurs after his mother's death. When the island he is living on is destroyed by a shower of meteorites, Aladar leads his adopted family to the main land. There they join a herd of dinosaurs who are in a mythical place called the "nesting ground". Aladar meets two old dinosaurs along the way called Baylene and Neera with whom Aladar falls in love with. Leading the herd is a big Iguanodon called Kron (sounds klingon). He believes in the survival of the fittest and his motto is "we stop for no one". Of course in this film, there has to be a conflict between a good guy and a not so good guy, yep Aladar versus Kron and I didn't forget about the two bloddthirsty predators who are after the herd. If you want to find out more, watch the film or ask somebody else who saw the film.

The concept of finding this so called "nesting ground" sounds a bit like Land Before Time and this is probably where the scriptwriters decided to take something out of that film and put it in their own special Disney version. What a rip-off. In relation to Star Wars: Episode One, both films have great visual effects but both films are flawed with their storyline. Talking dinosaurs with great intelligence and great leadership is a bit of a bulls#%t factor. Disney could have fixed up the storyline to make the film enjoyable for all ages, not for tiny little children. Good special effects saves the film from becoming a dissapointment but it wasn't worth it.
