If there is a child who thinks they can watch a film like this then think again and simpy go away because its not your type. Fight Club is a weird but very entertaining and sickingly funny at the same time. My first impression of this film is that I thought it would be some stupid action film like Face Off or The Rock. Tis a very good film.

Edward Norton plays a character (whom I forgot his name) who suffers from insomnia (a person who can't sleep) and mental depression (eg.a person who listens to Nirvana too much). He suffers constantly, his mind wanders off some times and then you see flickning images of Brad Pitt, in-out,quick flicker thats all. After being refused to have special treatment from a doctor, the doctor tells him a place to suffer, a group of men who lost their balls to testicular cancer, so Norton decides to go there and one of them (brilliantly played by Meat Loaf) has lost his balls and began growing breasts, his name was Bob, other men who lost their balls were crying to each other and so Bob went to Norton held him in his bosom and told him "Its ok you can let it out" so Norton starts crying but then he noticed after all this crying of manic depression he could actually sleep so he joins other groups, such as lung cancer group and the alchoholics group. Very funny, but untill he finds out a woman started coming to these groups aswell, he knew she ruined everything (at the start Norton says it all started with "her") and he stopped sleeping.

Very depressed (big word for me) Norton goes back to his so called normal life, work in the office and travel to other places, soon he meets Pitt in the airplane (whom you will see a good few times before that) and he changes his life around, Pitt's job is making soap out of human fat and selling it to expensive perfume shops where they claim its the best soap around, which means he makes money out of selling fat that comes from the arses of fat people. One night they get drunk, Pitt says to Norton "hit me, go on on do it". Wham! He punches him in the face, Pitt hits him, Norton hits him back. All this fighting caused passerbys to watch and fight each other aswell, more people join in this fight. Soon a whole fight club is fomed and rules where made by Pitt while Norton was watching. Rule 1:You do not talk about the Fight Club, Rule 2 ": YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE FIGHT CLUB!!! and so on. Trouble starts to form and soon the fight club has thousands of members all over the states of America. Now I don't want to give too much away and now for my opinion.

Fight Club is like a cruel fairy tale, both wierd and funny but also dark and disturbing. I like wierd films but not the ones made by David Lynch(twin peaks) and thank god this film is made by someone else this one was directed by the director of Se7en whom I don't know nor even heard of. Meat Loaf is funny, Norton is excellent at his act but Brad Pitt stole the show. The violence in this film can make it disturbing but its dark (very dark) scenes and black comedy does make the film much more fun to watch(sad thing to say when there is nothing fun about a film). I loved it, it was a tad bit long and a little confusing but I guess you would catch my drift.
