Ever heard of the
invisible man? Ever seen the invisible man? I've only
seen memoirs of the invisible man with Chevy Chase and I
have to say it was in the bulls##t factor. This films is
basically the same as the invisible man but with a
different name, Hollow Man. The story is about a group of
scientists who discover a special serum which can make
objects or living things look invisible for a certain
amount of time. They wanted to test the serum on animals
but one of the scientists, Kevin Bacon, is eager to test
it on himself and he volunteers to be a guinea pig for
this experiment.
They put the slimey stuff on him,
couple of seconds later with intense special effects
Kevin turns invisible. The scientists see this serum to
be a major success and benefit but Kevin begins to think
it as an opportunity for himself to do things that he
cant get caught doing. So this means that this serum
makes him evil or simply the bad guy. In order for the
scientists to see him, he has to wear a type of rubber on
his head so they can see his shape but when he takes it
off, problem. Kevin starts to steal large amounts of
money from banks, rape or seduce women and also kill.
Paul Verhoven, the director of
this film who directed such films as Basic Instincts or
StarShip Troopers, makes an attemp to make this film both
entertaining and gripping but it doesn't seem to work.
The film is crap, the only thing is good is the special
effects. Dont bother!
