St Patrick’s weekend trip - The weekend in the Lake District had a theme of excellence throughout from the luxurious accommodation superb walks wonderful weather and of course a big dollop of fun and craic The hotel set a new standard in Wee Binnian accommodation. Imagine our delight with a Jacuzzi baths, individual bathrobes, and a drying room (which some of us thought was a second wardrobe.) in each room The leisure facilities were superb as was the hotel setting. The walking was absolutely splendid with wonderful weather conditions, long and exhilarating walks covering Scafell Pyke and beyond for the A and B+ groups and Hellvylln and Striding Edge the following day. The C Group did Pike of Stickle on Saturday and walked along the valley below Striding Edge to Greisedale Tarn. We walked hard and then partied hard welcoming in St Patricks day in true Wee Binnian style.
A fabulous weekend in all respects. The hard work and organisation that was involved in putting together this weekend was greatly appreciated by all. Des, Thomas and Paul are warmly thanked for such a well organised and excellent weekend. We had a special guest (Pictured Right) with us who has given us a monkey’s overview of the whole experience.
