Portugal Report: What a prize, a week of sun and rambling in the Alenteja region of Portugal. Eight of us from the Wee Binnians were the lucky winners last June of a week at Quinta Azenha Do Ramalho located in Portugal's Parque Natural da Serra de Sao Mamede .  If you are looking for rambles through unspoilt countryside, a lovely climate, and a fantastically equipped and beautifully located house, then a stay at Quinta Azenha Do Ramalho is the perfect choice for you.  You can chose to follow the trails recommended by Catherine and Chris our hosts, relax on the sun terrace, or swing on the hammock.  As a group we did four of the recommended trails, which meandered through olive groves, vineyards, local farms and picturesque hill top towns.  The evening invariably found us sitting on the sun terrace sampling the regions wine and cooking the local produce.  By weeks end we all agreed we would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a break away from the hassle of modern day life, to an area with an authentic charm all of its own.  Do yourself a favour go explore this enchanting part of Portugal. For more information look up the web site www.azenhadoramalho.com.  For any Binnians who would like more info on this trip the eight people who went were Mary McCLean, Mary Harte,  Ann McArdle, John McCauley, Deirdre McCrory, Jackie McGeown, Arthur McGuinness, and Anita MacNabb. The training is open to all paid up members and no previous experience is necessary.
