Methodist work began in
Millstreet in 2009, initially in the form of an outreach Bible Study organised from the church in Killarney. This led in time to a Sunday evening worship service at Drishane Castle, about 2 miles outside the town of Millstreet. This service was a blessing to many of the residents in the accommodation centre at the castle, and also to others from the surrounding area. A constant highlight has been an inspiring programme for children. As the work developed, the decision was taken to move to a premises on the main square of Millstreet where the location is shared with the "Unbound" Christian bookshop. The front part is a small shop selling Christian books, music, handmade cards and gifts. The rest is small tables and comfy chairs where all-comers can drop in for coffee and conversation. |
