Gaiety Cinema,
Carrick on Shannon Ph:078-21869The Gaiety Cinema is one of the many attractions of the town of Carrick and it stands as a monument in it's own right because of it's age and history. Ownership of the Gaiety has been the pleasure of many people and first began with Mr J.J. Flood who sold it, in 1947 to the R.M.S. at Roscommon County Hospital, Mr 'Jock' O'Hanrahan. In 1971 it was again sold to the consortium of local businessmen which included Brendan Kieran, M.P.S.I., M.P. 'Phosie' Keane, solicitor, Billy Craig, company rep. for Jacobs biscuits and Joseph Mc Manus. It was once again sold off to the current owner in 1981, Mr Gerard Kelly.

Gaiety Cinema, Carrick on Shannon Ph:078-21869 The cinema today is now the balcony that graced the cinema of old.
