'What a time we all had in Wexford! I thought I was coming to do just another literary gig. It turned out to be a truly momentous occasion. Giant Vikings roamed the lobbies of the smartest hotel I'd ever been in. Then a thousand children appeared, a thousand little Colfers! There was that tingle of fear. Is anarchy going to break out here? Not a bit of it. The whole organisation was more than able to cope. I did my bit, the children did theirs, by listening intently - mostly. It was huge fun, and all about stories and literature. Every moment of it lived up to expectations, well mine, anyway. And Clare and I loved it all, the buzz and the hush, the laughter and the silences. Bravo Wexford.! Can I come again one day?'
