FAQ's
Q: How many whiskey distilleries are there in Ireland?
A: Three.
Q: But there seems to be a lot more?
A: Yeah... each of the three Irish distilleries has a licence to bottle their stuff under a variety of long dead labels i.e. Coleraine, Hewitts, Tyrconnell. See the history section for more.
Q: Isn't Bushmills in the North of Ireland?
A: It sure is. Bushmills have the best of both worlds. They can call their whiskey "Irish", as it is made on the island of Ireland, though County Antrim is actually still part of the UK, just like any Scottish distillery. Yeah I know, but it would take me six hundred years to explain...
Q: Great whiskies Pajo, but I live in the USA how do I get my hands on the stuff?
A: Go to Yahoo! shopping and search for "Irish Whiskey". There are a couple of suppliers who will post some very decent bottles of Irish to most US states.
Q: Same as above, but I live in Europe/Australia/India etc?
A: Try classic whiskey, Boyd is a terribly decent fellow, tell him I sent you and he'll take extra care of you. Their web address is in the links section of my home page. They cannot ship to the USA however.
Q: I've see some whiskies I'd love to try, but they are not available from the above sources, what can I do?
A: Drop me a note and I'll organise it for you. I have already done this for folk across the globe.
Q: What's your favourite Irish?
A: It's a mood thing.
Q: What are you doing Saturday night?
A: No more questions...
