News:

Cooley Distillery is continuing to show improved trading, with pretax profits last year up 60% to £344,000, while sales rose to £5.4 million from £5.1 million.

Cooley chairman Dr John Teeling said trading in the current year was also well up on last year, with sales up over 30%.

Cooley's growth in the domestic market has been inhibited by distribution difficulties. Cooley is now distributing its products through independent wholesalers and cash and carrys.
